Driver Status-- Jay used to race in the late 1980s but quit because racing lost its allure.  He returned to racing again in 2000 but this time at one of the nation's top speedway, Williams Grove, PA.  In his 2003 season, he not only placed 23rd in points but was probably the only independent racer that ever made money at racing, by being smart: knowing what you have and knowing that it not easy to come by.    

The reason he quit is apparent by how much more fun he had with his daughter and her little flower power race car, pictured on the right.
